Hey everyone,
I'm still pretty new to Upwork, had only 2 clients so far.
But what is interesting is that I'm getting on a weekly basis invitations to interviews.
I try to answer as quickly as possible but it's always the same.
In most cases, I don't even get a reply back from that potential client.
If you have any idea why is that so please share with me.
Would like to hear your experiences

They liked your profile enough to invite you. They didn't like your proposal enough to hire you.

Some clients send out a lot of invitations, sometimes without much thought, and they may post the job publicly too. So the fact that you were invited may give you very little advantage over applying without an invitation.
But it varies. Sometimes being invited is a big advantage. I've had two or three instances of good invitation-only jobs where I was the only person invited. It's nice when that happens!

Sometimes they invite carelessly even without looking at your location and with no information on the market that they are targeting. One of my recent invites was for a job "for U.S.-based freelancers only"
