How Do I Give my Client a Refund with a $0 Balance

Hi Upwork Community! How do I add money into my balance?

I did not understand that I was supposed to work only 80 hours and that only those hours would be paid to me. I worked 153 hours, of which 80 were paid, and for the others they asked for a refund. However, I paid back 39 hours, and by the time we realized the mistake, the money was already in my bank account. So from 153-80-39 =34
I have to return to the client another 34 hours that were paid to me at $4.
I am still working with the client but he wants me to return his money first and then continue working.

I'd like to add money back in so that I can process the client's refund.

Raise a credit and deduct from future earnings

Thank you for the response, but how do I proceed with this? When I go to the refund menu and select the amount I want to return, I receive a message stating, 'The amount to be debited cannot be greater than your available balance,' and then nothing happens.
