How should I deal with clients?

Greetings,

As I'm new to Upwork platform, I'm a bit confused about the way I should work with. As the response for my first proposal wasn't logical. Asking to choose a plan of a big number of pages to be translated in a relatively very short period of time without even mentioning anything about the content. And asked to contact them from outside Upwork platform and so the payments would be. But , upon your recommendation, I answered that I won't work outside Upwork platform, they asked to send my Upwork details.  Truly, what should I send? Is it a scam? Should I ask for a meeting?
