I lost a dispute and learnt a great lesson

I recently lost an hourly contract dispute (my first ever) for a slouch. Reason: not properly completing the daily work memo or description of activities. I thought the screenshots during the time tracking would act as proof of the work I was doing and a short memo description would be enough. All the other requirements were followed, and I was always cautious in following rules (I thought).

Maybe the time working on this platform, with fair and honest customers have made me more comfortable. The fact is, especially for those who are starting the freelancer journey, reading articles on how to work protected at Upwork is fundamental. I believe that even experienced freelancers should read the rules from time to time to remember all of them.

My lesson is: better to take a few minutes to describe very well all the activity than not to be paid for hours of work well done.
