Private jobs are visible

A couple of times I saw a job posting and took time to write a good proposal, only to get message that the job is private and only invited freelancers can see the job.   However, I *could* see the job or else I wouldn't have bid on it. This is very frustrating.

That means the client set it to private while you were writing your proposal.

It happens.
