Tax deduction

Hello,

I have just started using Upwork and worked on my first project, which is about to finish.

Today, the client has already made the payment. I noticed that, there are 2 types of charges deductions, which I am not aware about it. So could you be kind to explain to me those charges ? Are there any limits to pay these charges ? Or are these for the first time user only ?

Thank you for reaching out. I checked your recent transactions and found the following charges:

Withholding Tax - Since you're in India, Upwork is required to deduct Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) from your earnings.

Service Fee - All your earnings on Upwork are subject to a 10% service fee.

Withdrawal Fee - Every time you withdraw, a withdrawal fee of $0.99 is deducted from the total amount you'll be receiving.
