The client isn't paying

I worked with a client named **Edited for Community Guidelines**. He gave me a task in the messages. I completed the task and submitted it in the reply of the message. But he hasn't paid me the amount yet. What should I do.

If no contract is listed here:

Upwork -> My Jobs -> My Jobs

...then there is no way for the client to pay you.

An Upwork contract must be in place. Messages don't count.
