Exchange Rate Not Accurate

Hello. I've recieved a payment confirmation mail on this 22nd May and the exchange rate mentioned there was 84.5786 USD/BDT. But the exchange rate has been updating and I'm pretty sure it was more that 84.5786 USD/BDT on this 22nd. I think it wasn't updated. 

Can someone please look into this and confirm?

Hi Anika, for LFT (Local Funds Transfer), exchange rates are determined on the foreign exchange market and vary from day to day. Upwork offers very competitive exchange rates through our bank, often better than the rate offered through most third-party payment vendors.

I understand but shouldn’t the exchange rate be similar to what's the current exchange rate showing online? It has been 85+ since the last week. And it's 87.6317 today. So shouldn’t I expect the exchange rate to be this? Or is that calculated in some other way? I'm confused and I'd like it if I could get more insights on the matter.
