Getting the first job on Upwork

Hi everyone,

I've opened my Upwrok account some time ago, but in last 3 months I'm really trying to get some work on this platform.

I do apply, customize every application specific to the job but unfortunately I haven't been hired.

I'd like some help from the community - to tell me, is my portfolio bad or some hints that could secure me at least a first gig so to say.

What I've done so far

Have the "Rising talent" badge

Bought connects to apply on jobs

Applying on specific type - remote support and data entry / Excel formatting / Excel work

Often update portofilio hoping I'll attract clients

I'm easily reachable - I'm either at my computer or one the phone

Can you, kind people, give me some hints on how to proceed?

Thank you all in advance!

A few recommendations:

* Do not waste space repeating your name in your profile.  You write it 2x.  Clients know your name. It's on the profile already
* Remove "hey" or any really conversational language.  Just get to what you can do for the client

* Leads me to move "What Can I Do For You" up

* The first couple of lines are what a client sees first in a search.  Make it stand out

* Your title needs to stand out

Keep trying and good luck!
