How do I check if my profile is approved? Thank you

Hi Dee Ann Jo,

 

Thank you for your message and welcome to Upwork! I'm happy to report that your profile has been approved. You can check this on your end by trying to submit a proposal. If you’re able to submit proposals, it means your profile was approved!

I checked and it looks like your account has already been accepted. You should be able to send proposals to jobs on the general marketplace. Please make sure you check the resources in this post to help you get started.

It's new account and I have 0 connects I heard you will get 40 free connects if you are beginner and I have 0 why?

Yedilzemen, the free Connects on registration is credited to your Upwork account within 48 hours. Feel free to message us if you do not receive them after 48 hours.

I signed up for Upwork over 2 days ago, maybe 3 or 4, and have been waiting for an email letting me know of my profile status.

 

However, I notice that I didn't even get a confirmation email that my profile had been submitted. I have  received one or two other emails about password changes so it's not radio silence, but I get the impression something's not right. How can I check on my account status? I can't bid on jobs without buying connects.

I'm also going through the same issue. My account is relatively new and I'm yet to get any connects assigned to me.

Hi Jacqueline and Anna,

 

I am sorry that you did not receive a confirmation email after account registration. Sometimes, the email provide can Upwork emails to a different folder in your email inbox. Could you please check your Spam/Junk folder on your email mailbox to check if the email notification was sent to that folder? 

 

Meanwhile, I checked both accounts and your accounts are already been accepted. You should be able to send proposals to jobs on the general marketplace. Please make sure you check the resources in this post to help you get started.

Yes, I can confirm that you've successfully registered. Welcome to Upwork! As a reminder, you'll get a free batch of 50 initial Connects within 48 hours of submitting your profile to join Upwork. If you do not receive your Connects after that time, you may reach out to us again so we can assist you further. If you'd like to access these 50 Connects faster, you can add a billing method. Its been about 48hrs since I created my account on Upwork but yet I haven't gotten any feedback as regards approval. 

 

Is this the new policy? Or was my profile rejected?
