Hello.

So I am new to Upwork, and I want to start working as a freelancer. However, I don't have a legal business. Do I need this to get paid? As in, I have not created a business yet.

Hi Silje,

You don`t have to open a company to work as a freelancer, you can add your full name there as well and you will be able to proceed. Thank you.
