Propose a different contract - are there any fees?

Hi,

I have a financial agreement with my client, that is dependent on the Upwork fees over time (0.2, 0.1, 0.05). So basically we would need to change my hourly rate 2 times, once after $500 earned, and after $9999 earned, when the Upwork fees decrease. Are there any fees for any of the parties if I propose a new contract (hourly rate) to my client and he accepts it? Or is it free?

Thank you kindly,

Chris

Hi Chris,

There are no additional fees for proposing a new contract or re-hiring.

Apparently it's possible to change the hourly rate on an existing contact, without starting a new one :
