Scam or conversion

Hi,

I am really new on Upwork. A client said all he wants are about freelancers. He does not want to work with Upwork so he should continue communications through a telegram link he sent.

Truth is, he attached the link to his post which authomatically redirected me to his telegram page. Now I am done with the project but have not submitted. I told him to make payments through Upwork and he said, we never began transactions on Upwork so there is no breach of terms or conversion. He even said he took down the post already. I am not sure if this amounts to conversion so Please help me.

It's a scam. Several ToS violations have been committed by both parties.

Don't go outside UpWork. It's not safe.

Before starting the work...

Know what not to do here.

For Example...

• Don't go outside UpWork no matter who calls you. Do the work in UpWork.
• Do not share any of your personal contact information.
• Don't ask for money/5 star rating in message box. and etc.

If you need an answer to any question, search your question first in the community. If you don't get an answer, post your question. Because you will get late reply when you post.
