None of the clients are actually clients. They post but nobody hires. I think upwork creates the clients to make it appear as real companies.

Yes, it is a big issue that so many clients never hire anyone after posting jobs and some don't even check back after posting from the looks of it. But don't think Upwork is creating those.

Hey Troy, if a clients get 50 freelancers applying to a post, they may contact 5 to 10 people in my experience. Unless you are in the select group, it might feel bad, but everyone deals with these odds. Have a good Tuesday!

Somebody with a fake profile photo is complaining about fake jobs. Interesting.
