I've been scammed

I worked on a project from upwork the person offering the job asked me for confirmation money said it was refundable, i paid then but they haven't paid me back and also took my money. 

They took me to talk in telegram we had conversations and now after taking my money they're ghosting me. 

They soon deleted the task from upwork and they've ghosted me.
