Some freelancers will be eligible for digital photo verification in place of a video call. To complete digital photo, or "selfie" verification, you'll be asked to take a photo of yourself on your computer or mobile device. If you run into any issues with your Browser Settings for Visual Verification you can check this help article. For any other issues, please reach out to our support team.

The upwork message told that it would take upto 1 business day, so I worried much after passed one day time.

I was in a call with the agent 'Marco M.'. I had to install google meet for a call verification. While doing that, I left the chat and joined the google meet and entered the given code. I never got accepted in the call room. Did the code change? Is it possible to arrange a new call?

Hi, I have sent my selfie verification for over 3 business days, my id and location has already been verified, but the selfie is still not verified, I don't know if there's an issue. I got my first job on the 10th and I was given until 17th to verify my identity. Today's the 17th so I'm scared my account will be on hold if it's not verified. Please I need help help with this.

If you're having trouble with the selfie, could you please try speaking with an agent instead? You can go to Settings > Identity Verification, click on Continue, and you'll see the Speak with an agent button like this.

It doesn't look like you need to verify your account yet. The team will let you know if there is a need for any verification in the future. Please know that verification cannot be requested. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account with more information on how you can complete the verification process.

So my principal in a transaction is that if I pay for a service, I better be able to reach them by phone. After a week of back and forth getting anyone to agree to call rather than use their self help (self help is for free, not paid) they finally schedule for a call at 11am. It is now 12:13 and no call. Of course, you can't call or email them direcly any more as their CEO misunderstood the interest generated from the pandemic and wen't all tech development on a site that didn't need it and that 4M loss has cut support for the people who generate their revenue. Anyone from Upwork want to chime in here?
