I can't contact a freelancer

Hi,

I have a new account. I found a freelancer that may be good for work, but I want to contact them first before Hiring to see if they can do it and how much would it cost. But I don't have a "Message" button. What is the issue and how can I contact a freelancer? I created a job posting and still cant contact that person to see if they can do it.

The "Message" button is called "Invite".

It's right there in your screenshot.

Just click on "Invite."

Hello, thanks for the help. 

When I click the "Invite" button,  the Send Invitation button is Grayed out.

Your screenshot shows that you can't send an invite to this person because THERE IS ALREADY AN INTERVIEW IN PROGRESS.

This is how it is supposed to work.

You are already able to talk to this freelancer using Upwork Messages tool.

Which is available within the Upwork website AND the Upwork desktop application.
