New App Build Trying to figure out Price list

I had an app built for a delivery business. There's an issue. I want to have an itemized pricing list for all different items we pick up to charge the customer. My builder says that she can only do a group type of items by a time limit. Are there any app builders out there who can help us firgure this out. My business was due to launch yesterday and I'm on hold with my launch until we figure this out. So, I came up with just about every item I can think of that we pick up. There are different types of Gig Drivers we have. I want to add a value to each item based on what type of vehicle can transport it and the difficulty to transport. So many different prices. My builder says she can only do a group type of price based on either a 30 minute estimated pickup or 1 hr. I need to figure out how we can do it my way. Just like going to Dominoes Pizza app and each type of pizza has a value with add-ons. Please assist

Hi Aaron,

It sounds like you're looking for an app developer for your project. There are a lot of professionals on Upwork who may be able to help you with that. To connect with them, you can post a job posting. You can then browse profiles and invite those freelancers who may be a good fit for your job and review proposals that are sent to your job. Check out articles in this section for more information on posting a job and finding talent.

re: "New App Build Trying to figure out Price list"

Upwork does not sell apps or new app builds. Therefore there is no Upwork price list for this sort of thing.

Upwork provides a service that clients may use to find, hire, and pay freelancers.

Many clients hire freelancers on Upwork to build apps, web applications, and other types of software programs.

If you hired people to build an app for your delivery business, and now you have an issue with the app, then you may hire freelancers on Upwork to help fix the issue.

You may hire freelancers on Upwork to help you with this whether or not the original app was created by Upwork freelancers.

This is something that you would discuss with the freelancers you hire to work on your app.

You may hire new freelancers to work on this itimized pricing list. Or you may talk to the freelancers originally built the app.

re: "My builder says that she can only do a group type of items by a time limit."

Yes.

But that is just one person.
Obviously one does not hire only a single person to work on a project when it is this significant in terms of size, scope, complexity, and importantce.

Assign this task to other members of your team.
if nobody on your team can do this, then hire somebody else to do it.

What you want done can certainly be done.
I have done it. (I am not available for hire on your project.)

You simply need to find the right person or people to work on this.

Yes.
But this is not - strictly speaking - an "app problem."

This is more of a data problem.

You don't necessarily want an "app builder" to do this for you.

Hire a database design specialist to design the proper database structure and queries, and then have either her an API specialist create an intermediate layer API call through which the data can be obtained by the app.

Asking the app builder to do this is not the best approach. That is like hiring a pastry chef to cook the steak for your company banquet.

This is basic stuff. But you need to hire a database design specialist for this.

You need to put the proper database structure in place, and then generate the query that provides the data the way you want it, within a JSON structure. Leave the API access open for now for testing purposes so that you can view the results within a simple web browser.

Then the app call the API using simple input parameters. The database will store the data. The API call will trigger the server-level algorithm which obtains the data from the database, and the app will use that to obtain what it needs to display to users.
