My direct to bank payment method has been deactivated since my upwork account name does not match the name in my bank account---this is because I previously used my nickname when I created this account.
But I have already edited my details to replace my nickname with my full name here in upwork. Any chance you could have my payment method activated already?

Our account support team actively reviews verified name mismatches. Please allow up to 48 hours for the team to review the name mismatch on your account. If our team finds an issue with your payment method, we will reach out to you directly with instructions on how to correct it. You can learn more about this here.

Hi Guys,
My full name is "Asad Riaz", but my legal name on Bank Account and National Id card is only my first name "ASAD". My name on Upwork is complete Asad Riaz. That is why it's showing this error that the beneficiary name is not the same and because of this issue, I cannot add a withdrawal method for payment. Please see Ss...
I do not want to change the name on my Upwork profile, as I am professionally known by my Full Name. I found the Upwork Help article that says to "click here" to request a manual name review. However, clicking there sends you to an automated system which then sends you back to the article.
Kindly help me with this by conducting a manual name review? There is the only solution that will verify my beneficiary name on my Upwork payment method.

I have spelling error in my Bank account name which shows my name as "Chandani Bhojani" while my upwork profile shows name as "Chandni Bhojani".
I have Proof of PAN Card showing my name as Chandani Bhojani.

I checked and it seems that your name change was already approved and you should be all set. Please note that in order to withdraw earnings, you need to complete the W8BEN Foreign Status Certification. The Form W-8BEN is a form used to confirm you’re not a U.S. taxpayer and that Upwork is not required to withhold taxes from your earnings. For more information, please check this help article.

I checked this for you and it looks like your name change request was approved just recently. Could you please clear your cache and cookies or log in with another browser to check if you`re still experiencing the same issue with adding your bank account?
If there is any mismatch between your bank account name and your Upwork account name, you may be asked to clear the mismatch. In this case, you will be asked to provide documents that will prove that you are the owner of the bank account.

Yes.
You may use any bank account for which you are an account holder/signatory (using your legal name).
Upwork does not care if it is an account on which you are the sole account holder, or if it is a joint account.

You can only use any bank account that's in your name or is a joint account that has your name on it as a withdrawal method.
You can update your name by going to Settings and using the edit button. If your name variation is not acceptable, our agent will advise you directly about mismatch on your documents and suggest editing your Upwork profile name to match your legal name.
