Client is not responding - still money in Escrow

I have a customer who no longer responds, while there is still money in Escrow.

I did 1 of his 3 assignments in August. It was a test. The customer approved and paid for it. He would soon have more work, he said.
It has been silent for 3 months since then. He no longer responds to Upwork Messages.

Usually I would end this contract, but there is still some money in Escrow.
I also don't want my JSS to suffer from this.

What to do now?

That is why I am asking.

Just close it. The money goes back to the client and it won't do any harm to anything.

Hi Do,

Could you please send me a private message with the contract ID so that I can check and assist you further?

Thank you.

When you close the contract, the money in Escrow simply returns to the client. It's odd though, there shouldn't usually be any money in Escrow beyond 90 days?

The contract can't negatively affect your JSS unless the client leaves poor feedback.
