Hello Shoaib,

Welcome to Upwork! Finding your first job as a new freelancer can be challenging, but with the right approach, you can increase your chances of success. Here are some tips to help you land your first job:

  1. Optimize Your Profile: Ensure your profile is complete, highlighting your skills, experience, and relevant details. A professional profile can attract potential clients.

  2. Customize Your Proposals: Tailor each proposal to the specific job posting. Address the client's needs and showcase how your skills can meet their requirements.

  3. Start with Small Projects: Consider applying for smaller projects to gain experience and build your reputation on Upwork.

  4. Be Competitive: As a new freelancer, consider setting competitive rates to attract clients and demonstrate the value you offer.

  5. Stay Persistent: Job hunting takes time. Keep sending proposals regularly and stay patient.

  6. Seek Feedback: If you have completed projects outside of Upwork, reach out to previous clients for feedback and testimonials to include in your profile.

  7. Network and Collaborate: Engage with the Upwork community, collaborate with other freelancers, and seek mentorship to gain insights and potential referrals.

  8. Take Upwork Tests: Consider taking relevant Upwork Skills Tests to validate your expertise.

Numbered list with the first one being "optimize your profile." lol Every time. Keep on scrolling. Can't wait for the web to be variations of the same content just spun with different words using ChatGPT. This forum proves that's what's coming if people start using ChatGPT for content.

Improve your profile. The first two sentences of the description about you are the most important - so don't repeat something like your name! If you don't grab someone's attention in those two sentences, you have lost them!
