Important query about direct contract

Dear Upwork Team, first of all, happy new year 2021 to all team, I have a query on the direct contract project that is not mentioned in the QnA section of DC.

Suppose I have finished a project with one client and after a few days if the client wants to work with me again on new project, so can I suggest the client make a direct contract for the 2nd project or should I have to choose the previous method for that. Please solve my query on this

If the first contract was a direct contract, you can use a direct contract again.

If the first contract was not a direct contract, then the second one can't be because the client is an existing Upwork client. Direct contracts can only be used with clients who are not Upwork clients.
