Client asking copying other best sellers's design works

I had strange client through this Upwork. Whatever I suggested original & unique works for ebook cover of Microdoft Excel guidance he didn't like them and told me to design exactly the same font and the same text logo from other best sellers cover design. He showed me the sample or specimen from the other created and asked me to make the similar or the same style.

The client also making doing some design and creawting Microsoft 365 products guidance book cover but he was using Microsoft products genuine icons that he supposed to not use.  Also only $15 job although do one hour video call and speaking repeating the same things with othe phrase then his breathe sounds bit weird and rough then cut off his screen suddenly and it as if he was looks like doing his own business during the video call.  Everything do not make sense to me and I have just canceled entire my deisgn works and asked the client not to pay to me.  This is weirdest experience I ever had as a designer.
