First Job

I accepted a job and I'm worried I didn't confirm the job correctly. It's still in the proposal phase, I think? I completed the task two days ago and have not heard back from the client after I submitted the work. I have the message history to prove it all but am worried that since I'm new - I won't know the proper steps to take to ensure I'm paid for my work.

Why would you do work if you weren't even hired?

If you don't have a job listed there, then you were not hired.

If you are not officially hired, you can't be paid.

After proposal is sent, and optionally an interview is conducted, the client must send an offer.  Do not start any work until you receive a notification that the offer has been sent in your chat box, and open that offer, review and accept it.  If this didn't happen, you likely won't be paid.

Always read about the system and fully understand it before using it.
