ID Badge verification After Getting a Job

Hi,

I am pretty new on this platform. I have a very serious issue that I need to fix. 

At first, I created my Upwork account with a pen name. 

Now here is the problem...

I got a job and Upwork sent me an email to verify my account. My ID has my real name and now I am confused.

If I edit my name now before proceeding with the verification, is it going to work?

Also, I'll like to know if this won't pose any danger to my already sealed contract.

I had same issue. I used my given name instead of my legal name and I had to change it for verification. It didn't pose any threat even though I had a contract at the time and it just started showing my updated name.
