New to Upwork, Need help with Connects

Hello everyone, i recently created and verified my account. i applied for jobs without realizing that i am using "Connects", now i applied for 10 jobs and i have no connects left, but i read that i should recieve 80 free connects when i register an account, which i never got, is there anything i can do about this to recieve more connects, or will i have to buy them? thank you.

If you've been applying for jobs then you must have already used up your free connects (it's not possible to send proposals otherwise). Upwork will give you 10 more free connects per month, but that usually isn't enough for a new freelancer to get started here. So yes, if you've run out, then you'll need to buy more.
