Scam VIA Skype and Check for Laptop

Hello all, I almost got scammed by someone pretending to be this marijuana company **Edited for Community Guidelines** They sent me a legit contract and everything. What was fishy was when they said I had to compose music on their Laptop that needed to be purchased with a check they would be sending me. Such a shame I was so excited to land a gig, I won't let this bring me down, but just a heads up. If you are a composer, you know for sure that you can only compose on your own computer. That threw me off completely. I contacted the actual company they were pretending to be, and they had no recollection of the job offer. Scammers are coming after composers with legitimate questioners and contracts that are all fake. I have attached the PDF they sent me.

Communicate outside Upwork before being hired on Upwork with a fixed price or hourly contract is a violation of the Terms Service. If they don'y want to keep communication on Upwork after being reminded of the rules, you get your answer.
