closing contracts

Hello! 

it's been around 3 weeks since I completed a job, and got payed. My client obviously forgot to close the cotract. What do you think is a beter solution:

1. Remind him to close it.

2. Close it myself

Check in with the client in a friendly way, thanking them again, and asking them to close the contract if they have nothing else you can help them with at the moment. If the client does not respond, close the contract a week later.
