Why is this marked solved? The situation is not solved. Upwork has done exactly what the OP said, and angry freelancers want to talk about it. Pushing it under the carpet wth a Solved stamp won't make it go away. Having overpayed into a bank account but clawing back from the outstanding payments within Upwork, they have effectively screwed up our tax payments too.
Very badly handled Upwork, and indicative of how much you value the freelancers who work here.
