Delete team member and change contact person to another user

I need to delete a member but a message/pop-up appears:
Those team members are currently assigned as the primary contact person on active contracts and can't be removed. Please update all contracts referencing these team members to a different contact person before you remove them from the team.

I need to remove a person, i removed him as main contact, but still i have the same notice "The following team members are currently assigned as the primary contact person on active contracts and their hiring permissions can't be edited. Please update all contracts referencing these team members to a different contact person before changing their hiring permissions."

We facing the same issue. Kindly let us know how to solve this. This pop's up:

"Update member permissions

For everyone else wondering why this isn't documented. You're not alone.

 

go to team settings, members & permissions you will see contractor there. Go to contractor ... option and update the contract main contact person. Worked for me. May not work for you, but at least it's a start to documenting this issue.
