Missing Messages - conversation cannot be found

Hi! I was messaging a client yesterday, and now, all of a sudden, the messages have disappeared. When I click on my 'notifications,' I can see the message from the client there, but when I click on it to open it up, it just shows my proposal. At the very end, it says, 'Conversation can't be found.' Is this an error on my end?

This happens to me sometimes. I normally have to close out of the app completely and re-open it, then they show up. Sometimes it can take a few minutes to show up though, it's kind of annoying.
