W9 Form

Hello, 

   I was wondering if someone could answer this question for me. I have a W9 form that I will complete for Upwork and all my contracted work. A company I want to work for wants to give me their own W9 form. Can't I just use my own W9 form through Upwork? If they are paying me through upwork wouldn't it not make a difference for the company? 

Legally do they have to send me their own? Can I avoid doing taxes on two of the same 1099s? Hope this made sense!
