Want to know how upwork calculate connect per post

I just posted a job, Upwork is showing 16 connects for the job that I posted for bidding to freelancer. Suggest me the possible way to reduce number of connects to minimum, So maximum number of applicants can apply.

There isn't a way in which you can change the number of Connects required to apply to your job post. The number of Connects needed is based on the projected job duration, budget amount, and marketplace demand.
