New Feature of Job Preference

I saw yesterday a new feature on the Upwork wall and It required me check the box that said "Open to contract-to-hire roles". I simmply did and could not understand what it mean. Have someone face the same option? What goodness it will bring to us?

Hi, I believe it means that you would be willing to work as a contractor for
a company with the option to be hired permanently (like rent-to-own)

It will show buyers (Visit your profile) that you are open to work, like LinkedIn updates available to work at your profile DP.
