I signed up for Upwork while I was travelling but didn't finish my profile. My country is set to Serbia but I now live in the US. Every time I try to access the account settings page to edit location it just redirects me to the "create profile" page. How am I meant to change my country before submitting my profile for review?

When I signed up, I chosed a wrong country by mistake. So when I add an verified phone number, the zip code prefix of inputing phone number is not correct! Please help.

I have a long-running client account and I was trying to create a freelance account under the former.
My previously existing account was under a London address, but I don't live there anymore. I am now stuck in the "Create your profile" account page, which asks for a British address and phone number which I don't have anymore.
I'm not given the option to go back, or to change any of the account settings back to Spain, or anything similar - I am effectively stuck in limbo, and my account is unusable. This is a very strange product design decision...
How can I go back and change my country back to Spain? Thank you.

I registered to Upwork when I am in US. I am in US now and will be back to India in a month. I am based out of India. So, changed the Country back to India. Unfortunately, it is asking for the W-8BEN considering me as non-US person. But I am supposed to provide the GST(in India) and not the W-8BEN. How do I change this information so that I can provide the GST.

Hi Saravanakumar,
Please complete the W-8BEN form under Settings> Tax Info, which purpose is to
confirm you're not a US taxpayer. You can use your own legal name as it appears in your passport or other official documents.
I would suggest to consult yourself with a local specialist on how to report your earnings. Please do check this thread with more information regarding GST(in India).

I already posted this and got the respnse via email that it was changed, but I am not seeing the change on my end. I started my profile in the USA and now I live in Vietnam. I cannot submit my profile until this is changed. Help please 🙂

Same is happening to me. I live in Brazil, and there is no way to input my address while the country in "Create your profile" is pre-filled as US, and I can't change it.
