How do I close/delete my account?

Hello. I made a profile on Upwork. When trying to cancel, I get

I want to be able to fix it myself without being forced towards a phone number.

Hi Vikram,

 

If you'd like to close your account, first make sure you withdraw any active proposals on your Proposals page

complete and close any active contracts and don't have any available or pending balance. Then you can close your account by visiting this page. For more information and detailed steps, please visit this help article.

Hello,

I have withdrawn all funds and closed all active contracts but I am still not able to close my account without calling a phone number in the USA which I do not want to do.

Will you please close and delete my account with immediate effect.

Hello Nikola,

I have just been scrolling through the thread in this forum and it would seem that I am not the only one struggling to close their account. With respect, I don't want to wait any further for Upwork to close my account. It feels as though I am being bounced around from agent to agent without getting any closer to actioning my request. As asked by Upwork, I have withdrawn funds and closed all active proposals that I could. There is one left open which I cannot close as the job has been closed (no longer available). It should not be this difficult to action requests from your customers. Please close it with immediate effect and inform me when this has happened.

Hi Luiggi,
I am in the same situation as you and still waiting for Upwork to sort it out. Contact the forum page. An agent will be in touch with you but I can’t promise that they will fix your problem. If you can, make sure that you have closed/withdrawn all of your existing proposals and withdrawn any funds. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

You go to your account settings then it says "Close My Account" click there

Can you delete my freelance account because I can't do that, it's said you have a proposal active but when a go to withdraw, the job is no more.
