How do I close/delete my account?

Hello. I made a profile on Upwork. When trying to cancel, I get

**Edited for Community Guidelines**
I want to be able to fix it myself without being forced towards a phone number.

Hi Vikram,

 

If you'd like to close your account, first make sure you withdraw any active proposals on your Proposals page

complete and close any active contracts and don't have any available or pending balance. Then you can close your account by visiting this page. For more information and detailed steps, please visit this help article.


As a gentle reminder, please know that you will not be allowed to create a new account. If you need to use your Upwork account again in the future, you can reach out to us through our different support channels, and we will assist you with reinstating your account.

You worked with me last time, and I sent you a message earlier about a ticket I already opened, as detailed in my initial query on this thread. You should have a PM in your inbox. I'm not sure if this helps or not but I wanted to make you aware.

Hi Luna,

 

If you wish to close your account, you will need to go to Settings > Contact Info and click on the "Close my Account" link. Feel free to let us know if you need further assistance.

I am unable to cancel my membership. There isn't an option under Settings. Please cancel my membership so I don't have to go through my credit card company. Thanks

Try going into your profile. Click on your picture. Scroll down you will see cancel account or something like that. I hope that helps. I will still keep an eye on the card statements.

Hello Team,

It is no use keeping my profile with no viewers to my submitted proposals.

And now my account availability is OFF.

 

I can not keep paying for submitting proposals and again there is no gaurantee if they will be viewed by the clients.

 

Kindly let me know how to delete my account from UPWORK. 

Kindly please delete my old profile too - user id - ea0591e2 (I am unable to login to this old profile)

I'm a professional migration specialist and I can't see why a platform like this would charge me to connect to low ball jobs so they can take a major cut too.

How do I pruge my profile and have upwork confirm my PII was legally removed?
