Hi. First off, you misspelled writing in your job title. Second, I'm not sure what the market is for poetry and creative writing, but you might want to broaden your skillset. The most common writing gig on Upwork is content writing. You should research that and see if it is something you can learn and do.

Title: If you plan to provide data entry services, your title should only focus on data entry. For example, your title could be: Data Entry Specialist.

Overview/Summary: Remove any mention of family or personal content from your summary. Instead, tell prospective clients which data entry tasks you can accomplish and how it might benefit them.

Skills: Add more skills related to your data entry services. We are allowed up to 15 skills. It is important to keep your skills list updated with relevant skills categories so that Upwork can match you with relevant jobs, and so your profile will appear when clients search for your skills.

Portfolio: Add a portfolio to show samples of your data entry work. The portfolio is a chance to make a positive first impression on potential clients. If you don’t have relevant examples to add to your portfolio, you can create items that demonstrate your skills.

Since you are new to Upwork, make sure your profile is 100% complete before applying to jobs. The best way to complete your profile is to go through the following Academy Courses and Learning Paths:

Andrea is one of several Upwork Moderators. The moderators provide valuable information to freelancers and moderate the Forums, but they do not provide profile reviews.

I looked through your profile and I think it's really good. The only recommendation I have is to add short job descriptions to each job in your employment history. This helps Upwork match you with relevant jobs based on skill categories and keywords.

The other areas of your profile look good. I do not see any problems or issues that would prevent a client from hiring you.

If you are applying to jobs, you are likely not getting replies because your profile does not provide any information for clients.

The first thing you should do is change your profile photo. The picture in your photo should be a close-up image of your head and shoulders that clearly shows your face. Read through Upwork's best practices for How to Choose A Good Profile Picture.

Make sure your profile is 100% complete before applying to jobs. The best way to complete your profile is to go through the following Academy Courses and Learning Paths:

You're forgetting that people hire people. Mostly, they hire people they think they can get along with. To accomplish this, you have to do more than put your resume on line. Focus on work, but write a narrative that gives people a chance to know you. That doesn't mean tell them you like walks in the  rain and Neil Diamond. Just put a narrative down and your friendliness will show through.

One big clue: People hire people who understand what their problems are. So if you can name those problems very specifically, clients will think: "Hey, this person understsnds me. I want to hire them." So you have to walk in their shoes for a while. SImply say, "I can help you solve _______, ______, and ______, so you can go to the beach with your family ..." Or it might be "so your profits go up." But, that's the trick Tell them what problems you can solve and how they will benefit using a narrative style that lets them get to know you a bit.

That's how it's done.

Many freelancers are having difficulty finding jobs on Upwork. Competition is high and clients have been less than eager to spend. But hopefully, that will change soon.

Your profile looks good, but I suggest removing the following from the first part of your summary:

"Email Marketing Expert | Marketing Automation Specialist | Email Copywriting Pro | Email Campaign Strategist | Conversion-focused Email Marketer | Consultant | Email Campaign Optimization Specialist|| Email marketer | Funnels | Clickfunnel | Email drip campaign"

When clients search for freelancers, only the first two sentences of your summary are shown to them. You have very little opportunity to grab their attention. You want to use that small window to show clients that you can provide services that meets their goals, and you do not want to simply list a bunch of titles.

Zabrina is right; you have to clean up your act. There is inconsistent formating (sentence and paragraph breaks and inconsistent capitalization (you capitalize places and names, not words like Development and Administration.) But mostly your write-up just doesn't get around to saying much. It just seems like a manniquin dressed up to put it one way.

Let me explain: The first thing you say is you are highly skilled with a wealth of experience. That's kind of passively redundant. If you are highly skilled it follows that you have a wealth of experience, so it just sounds like your sniffing around. The sentence just lacks any real effort.

"Sustained through various roles across different organizations." That's just weak. What roles? What organizations? Again, you took the easy route. "Sustained as a project manager, supply chain liason and budget analyst at 400-plus employee manufacturing and retail concerns." Put some teeth into this. Give us some details that increase your credibility and show you can talk the talk. If your write-up remains vague and peppered full of cliches, it just isn't that convincing.

Your profile is quite appealing. It has a personal tone that makes you sound unique despite advertising skills that are not off the charts unique. 

I have little to add. One thing I like to see is the word "expert" somewhere in your profile. Once you use that word, you have opened up a whole new level of confidence. People will stop and listen to what an expert has to say. They don't always listen to people who aren't experts.

That said, don't force it. You convinced me that you know what you're doing. And you did so with a subtle touch. So why quibble?

The other thing is to rethink the competitive advantage option. This is where you project your uniqueness with a tangible item, such as you being the only admin. assistant who also speaks Islandic. The idea is to really differentiate yourself from the crowd because the crowd is enormous.

Empathizing your accounting skills would certainly help. There are, say, a million administrative experts on Upwork, but only a small percentage of them also know accounting. Bringing this to people's attention might help quite a bit.
