Regarding declining the offer by any client

Hey There 

I am new to Upwork and I find that one of the offers sent to me is not typically the kind of one that I would want to do.I had a conversation with the client about the job. But I find that It's not the kind I wished for. I declined the offer.Will that affect my stats?

If there is no contract, it won't affect your stats. You can decline offers or invitations without any effect. If you accepted the contract and cancel it, it has an effect.
