Hi Guys,
I had signed up new to Upwork and I had just posted my first job. I was simply looking for a content writer to help write some articles for our blog / newsletter for the agriculture, farming sector.
I then received an email advising my account has been permanently suspended. "given your account is currently restricted due to possible violations of our policies and Terms of Service.
In order to protect the confidentiality of our process, I won't be able to provide any details of our investigation."
Has anyone else had this happen?
I have since verified my account with I.D and bank statement, receiving confirmation, my account remains suspended. It seems a little extreme for the account to be suspended without explaination.
Any info would be appreciated.

Several months ago my account was suspended without any e mails and notifications, except the one on the top of the site. It directed me to the community bot but i haven't done anything on the site yet, so it's impossible that i violated any rules. How can manage to activate my account?

Hi there,
I would like to request assistance for my friend with the User ID **Edited for community guidelines**
He asked me to do this because he has no privilege to access and create a ticket here.
He has two problems:
1- He received an email that due to lack of skills and so many freelancers with similar skills, the Upwork can not accept his profile and the message of "This profile is no longer available" is showing in the profile part of his account.
He expressed because he was a new entry to Upwork, he did not know the importance of profile creation and he had just entered a few skills and very short. He intended to complete it after some days, however, he has been prevented from doing so since his account is frozen. he is an expert in his field and needs a chance to complete and resubmit his profile, he is sure and I agree that if he uploaded his entire profile and portfolio, his profile would be accepted.
2- He received an email that "Our apologies, we were not able to verify your current location" and his account is suspended but not permanently suspended. He described for me that he uploaded his Driving License and phone bill but the problem still exists. He expressed to me that his assistant is in Toronto and he is in Calgary, Canada, this may have caused the problem. In fact, both of them, which means my friend and his assistant are located in Canada and they had login into Upwork from Toronto and Calgary several times.
Would you kindly help my friend and let him resubmit his profile to solve the first issue and ask him for any required supporting documents to resolve the second problem.
Through part of "Help and Support --> Request", he has asked several times for help with regards to the problems mentioned and uploaded required documents but just received automated emails that do not help resolving the issues.
I would kindly ask for help to let my friend complete his Upwork profile. I am sure he will have great success as a freelancer in his field.

My friend's issue has not yet been resolved and apparently he is still not able to communicate himself with you.

I understand he has already provided documents showing his ID and whereabouts (detail IP address). Here attached are his internet bill and detailed IP address. He has not been using a proxy, VPN, or changed, masked IP and he is confused why his IP address is under question by your customer support.

Yes this just happened to me as well. I created a job posting for asking for an email marketing expert and within seconds of posting a simple job posting, it permanently suspended my account.
What's going on here?? We didn't do anything in violation of the terms but they don't even provide a reason or way to investigate what action led to the suspension. Going to move to **Edited for Community Guidelines**

I'm facing the same account suspension problem. I have no idea why I got suspended since I just signed up and put up a job post looking for a Vitual assistant. It feels wrong to get suspended without an explanation.
