So focus on what you do best. And you will add another skill later.

Hi everyone,

I am Marie from The East Coast in US. I am new to Upwork you could say. I had used upwork years ago when the site was still called o-desk. I wound up taking a day job in architecture at the time so didn't have the time to put into freelancing as much. But Graphic Design is my passion so I am here again after working on and off for ten years. Freelancing isn't always for the faint of heart so I admire those that can really pull it off, it's not as easy as it looks, it can be a lot of sitting in coffee shops using free wifi all day. Back before Upwork made the changes we see now to the site, it was a bit more isolating and pretty tough. You had to be out in the world meeting people face to face and send proposals online and make it all work. I'm happy to be able to see others in the community which makes the site feel more down to earth. So anyway, after a bit of a hiatus I'm here to work freelance once again and am hoping to eventually go back to working in-house somewhere (later on) but for now, I'm happy to have more short-term work.
