My direct to bank payment method has been deactivated since my upwork account name does not match the name in my bank account---this is because I previously used my nickname when I created this account.
But I have already edited my details to replace my nickname with my full name here in upwork. Any chance you could have my payment method activated already?

I am having issues as well regarding the "The beneficiary name is mismatched". I have different email address for paypal which does not match the upwork profile email.

In order to make your withdrawal method active and access your earnings, you need to complete the W-8BEN form which is used to confirm you’re not a U.S. taxpayer and that Upwork is not required to withhold taxes from your earnings. You can do that by going to the Settings > Tax Information page. You can also check this help article for more information.

I have a problem with adding a paying method to my Upwork account. Your website is stating that my payment method has been deactivated because the beneficiary name on my payment method does not match the name on my Upwork account. I'm using a PayPal account for withdrawal money from Upwork. This complaint has to be wrong, because my Upwork name (**Edited for Community Guidelines**) completely matches my PayPal account name (**Edited for Community Guidelines**) and depriving me from withdrawing money simply because my name on PayPal is written in Cyrillic is not a valid reason at all. If I have something else incorrectly formatted in my PayPal account, please inform me.

Straight to the point. I had setup paypal as my default payment method. Turns out that I make my payment request like a champion, ignoring the little warning about how Paypal was, for some reason that's probably somewhere in the Upwork ToS, deactivated and I had accidentally sent all that to my Payoneer account. Yeah, me human, me make mistake, throw first stone whoever had never had nothing but a perfect score in their whole lives.
Oh, and while writing this, it said that it was deactivated because "the names don't match". I jsut gave it a look and they very much look the same to me. Oh, it's probably because there's an initial at the end of my paypal account's name to denote my second last name. Nice to know.

I'd love to know in which way exactly my name does not match my Upwork name by a single letter? Nor even a misspelling, by the way. It's the intiial of my second last name. Even worse, it told me that it was "manually reviewed". To fix my paypal name I have to give a bunch of documents that I had already given them. Why, as my Upwork accoutn is "verified" and also utilized that paypal account for around 4 years without any complain, is this a problem now?
What should I do? Should I change my Upwork name so it matches Paypal and save myself the hassle or do I have to give you further proof that I am who I am? Nice, by the way, since my Top badge was taken away for being inactive for so long or for yet another bug in your JSS score algorithm for "reasons" and now I can't even get live chat service.
All I want is my money through the Payment method I've selected. And at least an explanation on to how this si exactly my fault.

In order to activate your payment method please complete the W-8BEN form, which purpose is to confirm you're not a US taxpayer. You can use your own legal name as it appears in your passport or other official documents.

Hello everyone,
My name is Fernando Morante. I have been a freelance for close to 3 years. I recently opened an agency. I'm from Ecuador, but I have a bank account in the US, since there is so many restrictions in my country, is easier for me that way to transfer money to my bank account here in Ecuador. Well, everything has been working fine. Now when I try to add that same payment method to my agency account, it says the name is mismatched. I don't know what is the problem now, my name in the bank account in the US is Fernando A Morante, but it always creates issues since in Latin America I have 2 last names, Fernando Morante Pazmiño. I don't know if that is causing this problem. I added the name as it is in my US bank account. I need help. Thank you for your time.
