Hi Ak,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Allow me to explain how  Project Catalog works. Firstly, we review all project listings, including consultations, before publishing them on Project Catalog to help ensure a quality platform that helps you attract quality clients, and we promote Project Catalog on client pages.

Once your project listing is published, the project will display on your Upwork profile. You can also share the project’s URL in your profile’s description and on your social media accounts for even more visibility. Your project’s overview consists of its title, category, project attributes, and search tags. The information you include here is your first impression to prospective clients, so you’ll want it to shine. Feel free to check this help article for more details. Please allow up to five business days for your project to be reviewed.

NOTICE:

Project Catalog submissions by Top Rated, Top Rated Plus, and Expert Vetted Talent are typically reviewed within 2 business days. If you do not have one of these badges, please note that our current review process is experiencing an extensive delay due to internal efforts to enhance our efficiency and accuracy.

Hello there,

A payment of $104.7 made from my Upwork account to my local Bank early hours of this morning. I never initiated that payment. I want the money back to my Upwork account.

Dear all,

I am new to Upwork, and I need your expert advice.

I created my project, it is now approved, and everything looks ok. But now I read:

''Sorry, you cannot purchase projects in Project Catalog using this account''

Why? What did I miss in setting up my account?

Many thanks for having a look and for your helpful advice.

Hi Muhammad,

Thank you for reaching out and your interest in purchasing projects in Project Catalog. I can see that you only have a freelancer profile set up on your account. Please know that you need to have a client profile for you to have the ability to purchase Projects that freelancers offer.

Don't worry! You can use our marketplace as a freelancer, an agency, and a client. You will use the same account to log in to Upwork but will have separate user profiles. You will be able to switch between them as needed easily. Please check this help article for more information and detailed instructions on how to be a client and a freelancer.

Hi Muhammad,

Thanks for your question. When you create a project, we will first review it before making it visible to clients. Our review includes making sure your project is complete, looks professional, and doesn’t violate our Terms of Service. Please allow up to five business days for your project to be reviewed. You can learn more about how we review your Projects here.

To answer your second question, Projects work similarly to Fixed-Price contracts. The clients will need to fund the project using escrow, and clients should release the funds once you submit the deliverables to them. Once the funds area released by the client, they become available to you within five days. You may also want to visit this article so you can get familiar with how Fixed-Price Protection works.

I submitted my project four days ago, and it is still in a pending status. I'm curious about the typical timeframe for Upwork to approve projects. Additionally, I want to know that every time I create a new project, it takes around four to five days for approval?

I've read in the Upwork community that when you make edits to an already approved project, it goes through the approval process again. Furthermore, there's a suggestion in the community that modifying project tags, pricing, or project description text can impact the project's ranking. Can someone provide clarification on these aspects?

Hi Shafiqur,

I understand that you are eager to get started and we are doing our best to review projects as quickly as possible. Regarding the timeframe for approval, it can take up to a week to review and approve your project. Please be assured that we will notify you when we have finished reviewing. When you make edits to an already approved project, it will go through the approval process again. This is to ensure that the project meets our guidelines and is suitable for the Upwork platform. Regarding project visibility to clients, I suggest you refer to tips shared on this help page to increase your project ranking.

The issue on project catalog for me, is that its courses  i went through at the Academy are rather vague and not explicit. I don't still get it how a Proofreader /Editor can participate effectively here. How also can plagiarism be averted for design works on display at the gallery? Thanks.

Hello,

I am thinking of making my own project but unfortunately, I do not have a set budget in mind. However, I have a Blogger account which I wrote a few articles 4 years ago and I am thinking of creating a project about lifehacks. Is this the right approach to link my Blogger account to the project catalog? Please advice.

So I want to ask this question to experts, how does Upwork Project Catalogue work? I've been here on Upwork for almost 3 years now and I've completed 33 projects successfully. But not a single project came from Project Catalogue, I don't know if there's anything I'm doing wrong. Or does this feature actually work?

I'll be very grateful if someone can explain the solution to this problem!

Hi Haider,

Creating a project in Project Catalog is another way to connect with clients and earn. Creating a project allows you to craft clear, defined work with set timing, details, and pricing. Feel free to check the articles in this section to learn more about how Project Catalog works.

Thanks, Arjay, for your response.
But is there anyway to see or check what we're doing wrong like if clients are actually seeing my projects or not?

Thanks looking forward to your response!
