Identity (ID) Verification

there is no menu item for verification by ID when I follow the link there is no such page either ... what is the problem please help me to pass verification. thanks

Hi Roman,

 

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

 

You may be asked to complete a visual verification and provide a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

 

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.



If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

Hello!

A few days ago I got this notification: Action required: Verify your identity by 11/10/2022 UTC to continue winning jobs on Upwork.

I went through all steps (I took picture of my national ID and selfie), but I'm still waiting for a review.

What can I do now?

The deadline is today.

Upwork keep on denying my TIN ID for unknown reasons. I re-submitted my ID multiple times and still no reason why you kept on denying my ID. It clearly shows all the required details to be verified so I don't understand why you're doing this to me.

Thank you for your message. I am sorry to hear about your verification status. I can see that the relevant team notified you about the status of your verification via this support ticket already. As mentioned on the ticket, the team was unable to validate your ID due to the image quality (cropped/adjusted/altered). Please don't hesitate to follow up with them on the same support ticket if you have additional questions regarding your concern.

Hi I'm trying to verify my location. Even though the country on my profile and my ID is the same I keep getting "Country should match you ID" message.

I submitted my Identification card on Monday 7/11/2022 yet my account is not verified. Please kindly look into it as it is taking too long.

I've submitted a photo of my drivers license and selfie for ID verification. But it has taken longer than what it says on the page so now I'm worried about my account being put on hold on 15th. I have many proposals that aren't concluded yet and I don't want to miss those opportunities. Is there anything I can do to speed the process?

Hi, having trouble clocking in since im gonna start my work. Is it normal that I cant clock in since you haven't verified my identity yet? I sent and submitted my ID a week before. When can I be verified?

Hi,

I want to get my account verified but I can not see any option there in settings. Please enable my identification verification so that I could do it and be able to get projects. 

It has been a long time now but I have not received any invitation. So I want to get verified now.  May be it helps me in getting projects.

Thank you for your message. I checked and it doesn't look like you are required to complete any verification at the moment. The team will let you know if there is a need for any verification in the future.

I'm having issue's verifying my profile and earning the verified badge, the "Identity Verification" tab is not available on my Upwork setting. Please check and help how to verify my profile.
