Identity (ID) Verification

Hello, I'm sat here losing my mind actually.

 

So I had issues with my Payoneer card and my account was disabled. But I did not remove it from my Upwork. Got a message 8 days ago from Upwork that I needed to reverify. I sent my digital NATIONAL ID on my phone to verify, it was rejected three times even though I explained several times. Used Friday and Monday to process a new one at the local government building in my city and got the official national identity slip I used to verify my account in the first place. It just got rejected again. WAS told it's a photocopy that a colored one is needed. On my life I have never seen a colored version of the official national identity slip in my country. Only colored thing I know we have is the identity card itself and that takes  months to process. HELP 

 

 

How will I get color when that's the official thing here and I actually also used it to register on Every single platform I've ever needed to reg my national identity on?

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.

 

You may be asked to complete a visual verification and provide a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.

 

Please note that your profile must represent you as an individual and that all the information in your profile, including your profile photo, needs to be accurate, truthful, and verifiable. We understand you may have provided a name and/or picture that you would like to update now. If that’s the case, and you’re being asked to verify your identity now, please proceed with submitting your ID and completing your Visual Verification anyways. If there is any issue or mismatch, our team will reach out to you directly to assist you.

 

Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.

 

If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

I have trublle with Identity Verification, i live in Pakistan, I already submitted my Identity Card to the Upwork with the same day 02-09-23 that I have received notification from Upwork for Verification. But receiving reminders from the upwork for Identity verfication and tomorrow 02-16-22 will be the last date as per the upwork if it will not reflect my Identity completed. My account will be suspended. Please advise and resolve it ASAP.

Hello, my identity card and a video call were requested. I already submitted a copy of my passport, and a video call was made. After all that, the service representative told me that I was verified and my profile was documented. Hours later, a photo of my identity was requested again. I submitted it, but it has not been reviewed yet. I have tried to contact them, but I do not find an option to contact. I hope that one of the service representatives takes a look at this problem and solves it as soon as possible. Thank you all. I really appreciate your efforts. May God bless you and your family.

Hello,i think one week ago I got a notification that verify your identity on Upwork so I submitted my visual verification as well as ID document verification. after submitting the documents I got a message "We’re reviewing your ID, which can take up to 1 business day. Learn more ." but now after waiting many days they still write me that it's my last reminder to verify my identity, I wanna know why because I submitted all the documents they asked for from me. please guide me.

Try to check your profile account settings. They might be reminding you again because there's a problem with the documents you submitted. Also, try to email Upwork regarding your problem so they can better guide you.

I'm having issues verifying my account. I received a notification to verify my account few days ago, and I tried uploading my ID, up to three times, to no avail. Then, I received a mail notification that my account has been put on hold.

 

Any help?

Hey, i am new to Upwork. I have my profile picture on upwork without prescription glasses but for the verification i have put my Pancard which has a picture with glasses and also done the selfie verification with the same glasses. There still is time left for the verification to finish (2 days) before what they have given the verification deadline as (22/02/2023) . Since i have made some earning and wont get to make a new account if this one gets flagged as fake,I am just a little worried if the glasses in my pancard may cause any sort of issues for veriification. The account is important for me so would be helpful if I can have some guidance here.

I was checking my account a few days ago and I was met with the message saying I need to verify my identity to continue working on Upwork, I uploaded the required files about 24 hours ago and I only have 24 hours more before my account is suspended, I was wondering if there is something to speed the verification process up or at least postpone the account suspension as there is nothing to be done on my end and my ID is in Arabic so I completely understand that it might take some time on Upwork's end, but how can I stop my account suspension?

How will i get my ID verifedon upwork because i need to get the identity verification badge 

please go to your profile setting and click on identity then an interface will open to enter certain information and your identity documents picture, and a selfie to recognize that it really you in the documents, and then click submit, the review almost takes less than 5 minutes and you get verified.

Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to users of Upwork. I tried like a dozen times to verify my ID even from different browsers but nothings is working. It's very frustrating, even there is support is not working as I wanted to talk to an agent.

Sir there is no error message. It says we are reviewing your ID. That's it and after some 15-16hrs without any email or message it disappears and the message that verify your ID appears again. Sir there is message that's says verify your identity by 02/21/2023 .... And it's panicking me. My email is**Edited for Community Guidelines** and I have reploaded documents a lot of time using different angles but of no use. Please help

I received a request from Upwork to verify my ID again due to some irregular activity. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I have submitted my ID and bill documents again. I completed all three forms of verification and received a notification saying a had the verified badge this weekend. However when I went to apply for a job today I was told I needed to verify my ID. I'm not sure what to do. Should I just verify again and hope it works? Any advice is appreciated!

I took a closer look at your account and I can see that your ID has been verified. You should be seeing the ID Verified badge on your profile as confirmation. You should be able to send proposals and apply for jobs. Could you please try using a different browser or the incognito mode of your current browser? You may also try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Let us know if the issue persists and we'll look further into that for you.

I tried but wasn’t able to replicate the issue you’re describing. Could you please try using a different browser or the incognito mode of your current browser? You may also try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Also note that we only officially support the latest two versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
