Gov. ID was not approved, and yet it worked on a different page.
Everything shows. It´s not a pristine picture, but everything´s perfectly legible. Not sure how I could take a better picture..
Is there a place I can send it for a personal verification ?

If you are eligible or required to receive an “Identity Verified” badge, you can complete the two stages by going to Identity Verification in your Settings.
Freelancers requested to submit identification documents should submit any of the documents listed during the verification process. Note that the list is different for each country.
If you do not have any documents from the list, you can submit a different government-issued ID, ensuring it’s unexpired and valid. This will trigger a manual review process. Acceptable documents include passport, national ID card (NIC/CNIC), driver's license, NBI Clearance (Philippines only), tax ID, voter ID, postal ID, or any other valid government-issued photo ID that meets these criteria.
Please note that your profile must represent you as an individual and that all the information in your profile, including your profile photo, needs to be accurate, truthful, and verifiable. We understand you may have provided a name and/or picture that you would like to update now. If that’s the case, and you’re being asked to verify your identity now, please proceed with submitting your ID and completing your Visual Verification anyways. If there is any issue or mismatch, our team will reach out to you directly to assist you.
Note that we occasionally ask users to re-verify because periodic checks ensure their accounts continue to reflect accurate information. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible and we thank you for your contribution to keeping Upwork a professional and safe community.
If you don't see a way to verify, that may be because you're not eligible yet. Please know that verification cannot be requested, but is slowly being rolled out to all talent. If the team finds the need to verify your account, you will be notified through an email, or through a notification in your account.

Please i need help i finally landed my first Job on upwork, then i immediately got a notification to verify "Verify your identity to continue winning jobs on Upwork" whenever i try to start the proccess am stuck at "Choose how to continue on a mobile device" i tried scanning the Qr code or using phone number. it just keeps sending me links that takes me back to the same page "Choose how to continue on a mobile device".

Hi,
This is me second time reaching out to address this issue.
I'm trying to connect with real people on Upwork on behalf of my brother because he tried many times but stuck in a loop with upwork support.
Background:
His funds got transfered to his bank and upwork asked him to give identity information for bank. Upwork provided him with a form to fill information.
Issue:
1. For requires full name (first name, last name) as on 'ID'. But he has only first name on his National ID Card.
2. On his National ID Card he has name on front side and address and expiry date on backside. Form requires both things but allows to upload only 1 picture.
3. His ID Card is in Urdu language (our native language) but form says it should be in english.
4. I contacted Upwork SupportAndAssistance once before on his behalf and this was their email reply:

I hope you are well and safe. Thank you for contacting Upwork Support. I understand you need help with the verification of your brother's account. I'll be glad to help you out.
While our system does require to enter both a first and last name, we understand that not everyone has both names. Your brother can go ahead and add one name in both the first and last name fields.
Once the document is submitted, our ID Verification team will take care of everything regardless if the ID that will be submitted is in your local language. ""
But verification again did not pass and he got email saying "Please submit Front and Back side of ID using the link below."
BUT YOUR FORM DOES NOT ALLOW HIM TO UPLOAD 2 PICTURES.
Looks like Upwork is playing games with him. They are not even ready to get his verification details through email.
In this way my brother got stuck in a loop. Please help him.

I created an Upwork account because the company I work with requires one for project management and payment purposes. However, my identity verification is currently pending, and I'm uncertain if my account has been approved yet. How long does manual identity verification usually take? Today is Monday, and the company processes payments each Tuesday. I'd rather not wait until next week. Should I provide the Upwork URL to the company even though my identity verification is pending?

It didn't help, I followed all the rules but still nothing works. After three unsuccessful attempts, when the camera was supposed to take a photo of my passport automatically, I am offered to take a photo myself, I do, click on the checkbox and I am taken to a page where I have to choose the type of document with which I will be verified, and so on and so forth. Is there any way to upload the photo? What to do in this situation? Thanks in advance!

Upwork has completely wrecked it's brand reputation with this fiasco. You hurt my hired freelancer, a well respected and honorable network engineer from Poland. Upwork literally refunded nearly $5k worth back to my account, wrecklessly and stolen from him because of your screwed up verification system. Look at your BBB complaints, atrocious. I submitted a ticket, got a lousy reply that the ban on his account stands because of your faulty verification system. I had hired him nearly a year ago without issues. Look at your stock. What a joke.

Additionally, as a freelancer, your profile picture has to accurately represent who you are; it obviously shouldn't be a photo of a place, a design or object, or someone or something else (also, misrepresenting who you are goes against our Terms of Service.) I also encountered this issue. when I got my first job on Upwork If you are having trouble accepting a job offer request from a client, try accepting it from your email. It will be accepted and your account will show your identity verification again. Try to upload your documents perfectly this time, where all of your personal information is in English language and clear to understand.

I was asked to go through the identification process as I am a freelancer. It failed and is now in a manual review process which is extremely frustrating as I am now unable to apply for any work. day 12 of reviewing my documents for payment identity verification and still no update.
they even made me a support ticket 3 or 4 days ago, and literally the ticket has zero replies from the support, it's just me talking to myself there.
this is crazy.
