Unable to add local bank account

Hi,

I am a freelancer from Canada. I can't enter my local bank information to get paid. When I try to enter the institution number and transit number, it didn't gave me the option to go to next page. I checked my bank information for many times, and I am pretty sure everything is right! Please help me to set-up my payment detail.

Hi Gulnihal,

 

We’ve designed the process of Adding a Direct to Local Bank payment method to be as straightforward as possible. To add your bank account: 

 

  1. Go to Settings  Get Paid
  2. Click Add Method
  3. Click the Set Up button for your chosen method
  4. Enter your bank account details, including bank codes
  5. Choose a payment schedule and click Next

 

Important things to know:

 

  • For security reasons, your new payment method will become active in three days.
  • Check that the name on your bank account matches your verified name on Upwork. If your payment method was flagged for a name mismatch, please contact support to resolve the issue or add a new payment method.
  • You should also contact your bank if you're not sure you have the correct information, or if you received an error when you tried to enter it into our system.
  • Upwork charges $0.99 per Direct to Local Bank withdrawal. Any additional restrictions, timing regulations, and fees vary depending on your bank.
  • Be sure that you enter your bank information, including bank codes, correctly. We want you to get your money on schedule and any errors could result in a failed transfer or delay. If you've exceeded the character limit on the Name on Account field, please contact your bank to get an appropriate abbreviation.
    • Since some banks aren’t in our database or have recently changed their information, your bank details may not be recognized. In that case, you can enter your bank information manually by selecting the "enter branch address manually" option. On the pop-up that appears click "enter it manually."​ Once clicked, a new form will appear to let you enter your bank details. You may want to re-confirm the bank code and other information on file with your bank before entering changes manually in order to avoid potential problems with withdrawals.

Hi Varsha, please check this help article for more information about the correct format of bank codes. That said, since some banks aren’t in our database or have recently changed their information, your bank details may not be recognized. In that case, you can enter your bank information manually by selecting the "enter branch address manually" option. On the pop-up that appears click "enter it manually."​ Once clicked, a new form will appear to let you enter your bank details. You may want to re-confirm the code and other information on file with your bank before entering changes manually in order to avoid potential problems with withdrawals.

I am trying to add Direct to Local Bank as payment method for receiving payment in India.

However I am not able to locate my branch even with correct IFSC code as mentioned in my chequebook.

Can I enter IFSC of another branch of the same bank in this case?

Please note there's no problem at my end. I receive funds in my bank account using the same IFSC. But it's not working in Upwork. Moreover I don't have account in any other bank.

Also I don't want to use PayPal and unnecessarily pay higher fee for transferring funds.

 

Any solution/suggestions?

Please help I am trying to enter my IFSC code it saying bank not found its a right ifsc code which is SBIN0017257 I checked bank copy for that and same ifsc found on another website please help

Hello! I'm trying to add my Bank of Baroda bank account so that I can get paid, but when I put my IFSC BANK CODE it says "Bank not found" . What can I do please help. I think the bank has not been updated in website database. Kindly check.

Hi, thanks for checking. But I just looked at the ticket myself and its tagged as Solved!! But I didnt even get a conversation going, how is this possible? Below is the attached screenshot. And for some reason its stuck on the loading forever, so i couldnt even get a clear screenshot.

Hey, after I tried entering the IFSC code, it said "code not found" even though its correct. So i went ahead and added the details manually but it won't go ahead until the IFSC code is entered too. I keep trying to refresh the page because the IFSC code is correct, but there is no luck. Please get back to me asap. Thank you.

ICICI Bank IFSC Code not available on Upwork

I'm trying to add my ICICI bank to Upwork but Upwork doesn't identify my bank through IFSC Code. 
I tried to manually add the bank but no luck.

I've been trying to reach support but the Get Help button was grayed out. 

The missing IFSC code: ICIC0000816

hi, I had set up a bank details before but later deleted it. However I tried to set up a new bank profile but whenever I clicked on that "setup" it actually returns me to the previous page.
