Hi Abrar,

If you are a new freelancer and don't earn money on Upwork within 90 days of your first proposal, or you choose not to submit a proposal within your first 90 days, your profile will change to private.

When your profile is set to private it is not shown in freelancer search results but rest assured, clients are still able to see your profile when you submit proposals!

You can request that your profile visibility is reset by clicking this link found in this help article.

HI!

I recently returned on Upwork after nearly two years absence. I have been sending in proposals using up my connects and I just noticed that my profile was set to private. I just recently read that profiles that don't earn for a set number of days will be set automatically to private. Please set my profile to public again please. I've requested multiple times and it has been well over the 4 hours that you promised to change my visibility.

One week ago I had the same problem as you.

My way of solving this problem is by submitting a ticket at
https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003975967?request=t_private_profile

and this problem was solved with the help of the Upwork team.

Note:
It may take 24-48 hours for the Upwork team to contact you because the queue for this issue is quite large.
